Ancient Aviators Used Air-Holes to Summon Sky-Dragons, Elders Claim
Mysterious drafts in flying chariots were actually early communication with mythical beasts
Back in my day, we knew things. We saw the metal sky-beasts drift overhead, not like these loud, smelly things today. They had these little circles in their sides, see? Not for looking out, oh no. Those were for the wind spirits, the ones who guided the great feathered serpents of the sky. You'd open them just right, and a gust would whisper secrets from the sun.
The Sky-Chariot tribes, they were a peculiar lot. Always fiddling with their light-boxes and metal birds. We'd watch from the cliffs, wondering what they were up to. They'd tap on those little holes, then point them towards the setting sun. We figured they were trying to get the dragons to come down for a chat. A lot easier than wrestling a mammoth, if you ask me.
“"The wind is the oldest messenger, and those holes were its ears, not its eyes."”
— Gnarled Root, Keeper of Tribal Secrets
They say the reason those sky-beasts could fly so high and fast was because they made pacts with the thunder-lizards. Those holes? Perfect for sending up offerings. A bit of dried berries, a shiny stone. The thunder-lizards would get a whiff and give the chariot a good push. Kept them from falling back to earth like a clumsy eagle.
Now, the youngsters, they tell you it's about "pressure." Ridiculous! Pressure is what happens when you try to herd angry badgers. This was far more elegant. It was about harnessing the invisible currents, the breath of the world itself. A direct line to the elemental powers that truly run things.
“"Modern science is too busy measuring to listen. They don't understand the ancestral hum."”
— Elder Stoneface, Former Sky-Chariot Observer
My grandson, he tries to explain it all with his "aerodynamics" and "cabin pressure." Bah! He's never even seen a real sky-serpent, let alone felt its breath. Those holes were the nexus, the point where man met myth. A spiritual necessity for soaring.
So next time you see one of those metal birds, don't think it's just some fancy engineering. Remember the old ways. Remember the wind spirits, the sky-dragons, and the ancient tribes who knew how to talk to them through those little holes. It’s all connected, you just have to be quiet enough to hear it.
